Oh well, it is not that new because I bought it as second hand unit from ShutterAsia Forum.

Been longing for it as this unit is the main reason why I did not invest so much in my kit lens (Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS).

The diameter of this lens is 72mm so it looks pretty big compare to that of my other 2 lenses. Coupled with my Canon EOS 40D, the total weight will be more than 1.4kg.

The OS works pretty well especially when you zoom at 200mm (max).

From the net, it has lots of positive reviews as owners tend to use it as walkabout lens; that is one lens to ‘shoot’ them all when you are on field trip. Of course, you can’t compare it with any L lens by Canon because they are top of the line in Canon market. Furthermore, I wouldn’t compare this lens’s bokeh shot with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 as Canon clearly is the winner. However having said that, the pictures produced by Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS is reasonably good.

Again, I’ve yet to test it fully because I’m pretty busy with my work now. So, no sample pictures yet but you could checkout my flickr from time to time for new photos by Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS with Canon EOS 40D.
