This particular stall has been in my must-visit list for as long as I could remember, all thanks to the power of internet (blogs). And for a pancake lover like me, one could not resist the temptation to try out different varieties / combinations of fillings in a single pancake as most of the pancake stalls in Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur) only serve the generic version; crushed peanuts, sugar, corns and grated coconuts.

With over 20 types of combinations, one could not possibly bored of it. Safe fillings such as crushed peanuts, peanut butter and sweet kernel corns are available while for the more adventurous food lovers, ingredients such as tuna, egg, banana, cheese, turkey ham, sausages and brown sugar are all available for selection. However, do bear in mind that regardless of what ingredients you are choosing, the base ingredient for the pancake will always be crushed peanuts.

Besides the available combinations, what I like about this stall is its thickness of the pancakes and the amount of fillings given. As shown in the photos, the thickness was just nice while fillings were packed to the brim.

Don’t be surprised if you have to wait for your orders as we waited for ours for quite a while. So, if you are in the neighbourhood, do give it a try. If you are not, drive to the given destination and try it!

With more than 20 sites selling vouchers and all, looking for discounts is a norm these days. Whether they are food, goods, services or even traveling packages, one gets to enjoy something at a fraction of the original markup price. However, one needs to be extra patient (and with a lil bit of luck) in order to get the discounts they’ve been longing for. As for me, I’d usually look for deals that are related to food and beverages. But, more often than not, those deals were not up to my expectation / liking.

Worthy Book F&B Special Edition 2012-2013

Then, came this handy guide booklet. For the uninitiated, Worthy Book is “vouchers booklet for freebies and discounts at some of Klang Valley’s most popular spots”. The previous one was a success and this time around, they have a new, special theme; Worthy BookTM F&B Special Edition 2012-2013. As the name states the obvious, it is all about food and beverages in Klang Valley.

The size of this booklet is about half of A4 size paper and it is not too thick. It is just a perfect size for storage whether it’s left in a bag (handbag/backpack/office bag) or glove compartment of a car. There are more than 250 vouchers (of different kinds) and by rough calculation, it should worth more than RM3,000 in total. These vouchers consist of free meals, discounts, buy 1 free 1, free second dish and many more… Most of them expire on 31 March 2013 while only few expire end of this year.

I have briefly browsed thru their fine prints (a.k.a. Terms & Conditions) just to get an idea how it works. While some have their individual terms and condition (i.e. applicable at certain outlets or applicable with minimum purchase of certain amount), the remaining ones are pretty generic.

I have used a couple of vouchers at Ninja Joe (Mid Valley outlet), Boost Juice (Mid Valley outlet) and Share Tea (Kuchai Lama outlet). So far, the redemptions were smooth and easy although the cashiers were having slight difficulty looking for the discount option in their POS system. I’m looking forward to use them again at Hanare, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, and perhaps Sushi Tei.
