Some time ago, a bunch of bloggers were invited for food testing. The venue was at Work In Progress (a.k.a. W.I.P) in Bangsar Shopping Centre. When I first heard the name, my first thought was “What a whacky name for a restaurant”. I mean, the name itself could mean anything. Interesting I would say.

WIP

Little did I know, W.I.P has been in F&B scene for quite some time, as long as late 2007. Their menu consists of Asian, Western as well as Northern Indian selections. Yeap, almost all types of food under one roof. Before I forget, they have different menu for their dessert and drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol) too. So, remember to ask them!!

Inside WIP

Inside, the restaurant is decorated with modern yet “unfinished” design. It exhibits the ongoing changes which I think fits the restaurant’s name/theme very well. The ambience is good as one gets to chillout after hard day work.

Evian

On that day, we were pampered with all sorts of foods and drinks. To start it all off, we were presented with drinks; detox drinks and cocktails.

Drinks

Detox Juices and Cocktails

Bubbly Mango
Bubbly Mango

Bubbly Mango, so they called it, is a right mixture of kiwi, orange, mango and soda water. It is said to be good for vitality and it was indeed one of my favourite drinks.

Gardener's Tonic
Gardener’s Tonic

It might not looked as appetizing as it is, but the drink above does do well to one’s vision. Spinach, carrot and apple in it.

Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon

Smirnoff lovers (or haters) might love this drink. With a mixture of Blue Curacao, Smirnoff Vodka, soda and 7 Up, it didn’t really have the strong ‘Smirnoff’ trademark taste.

Stop Gap

Mojito

Mojito

The ever famous drink from bars all around the world. It has vague taste of alcohol (covered by the lime juice) as to compare with other bars, and hence, it would great for those who have not try Mojito before.

Then, came the food…

Salmon Steak and Wild Rocket Salad
Salmon Steak and Wild Rocket Salad

Normally, I don’t really favour cooked salmon due to its taste. But this dish got me eating non stop. Not forgetting the unique baked potatoes (with cheese) underneath the salmon as condiment.

Lamb Kebab on Hot Plate

Yet, another good dish served on that day. The lamb wasn’t overcooked yet the meat was tender and flavourful with spices. It goes well with naan bread.

Thai Green Chicken Curry

I guess everybody heard of Thai Green Chicken Curry. It was spicy. It was green (duh!!).

Then we ordered more foods. Hehe…

Beef Pizza

But before the extra dishes, desserts came…

All in all, it was great night. Good drinks and food, good ambience and great companies. What more could one ask for. If you want to hangout to have a drink or to grab a bite, this might be a good place to tryout. Their opening hours is from 12pm to 2am.

Sidney
The star of the night. It was Sidney’s birthday (the day after the event).

p.s.: Special thanks to  Sidney (from BigBoysOven) for the invitation and to Jason (from Jasonmumbles) for bringing me along.

p.p.s.: Credits to Jason, Andrew and Ken for most of the awesome pics above and to Joshua for listing down the foods and drinks.
