Street of Ao Nang

Located approximately 30 minutes away from Krabi International Airport, it may not be as beautiful as other places such as Rai Leh (Railay) but it’s a place where all the activities happen..

Shops at Ao Nang

Due to the high demand, there are plenty of cheap accommodations, restaurants (that serves mostly foreign cuisines) and travel agencies stationed along the main road of Ao Nang for tourists’ convenience. That is also where all the small stalls selling souvenirs are located at.

Longtail Boats at Ao Nang Beach

Right across the street is the beach where you get to enjoy people watching or just do nothing. That said, the sight of longtail boats is unavoidable as it is the pickup point for those who are going to other islands or for hotel transfer. Apart from that, if you love to view sunset scenery, this is the one of the best spot as the beach is facing the west.

Sun Set at Ao Nang

There aren’t many things to say about Ao Nang as I find it a typical spot filled with tourists from all over the world. The convenience of everything is there but that’s just it. Most of the materials I read over the internet recommend other places such as Rai Leh or Ko Lanta if you are truly looking for a quiet getaway. Checkout my Flickr for more Krabi photos.
